First off let me say that I hope this post does not offend anyone. I am simply sharing with you what a child said to me today. The child (6yrs.) attended the wake of his Uncle last night. He came in this morning and shared with me some of the details.
"My Uncle was wearing his glasses in his coffin Miss Dyer. And there were numbers there too. Cause they had his hands together on his chest like this. And the beads were wrapped around his hands. But I couldn't tell if they were the short chains or the long chains because my Mom wouldn't let me count them."
My trainer Mrs. C. Fernando was trained by Maria Montessori. She told me how during her training they would take apart rosary beads to make their own chains to be used for math presentations and in the classroom.
I have nothing more to add other than hmmm...
